I replaced the plastic storage containers we had with glass ones. We bought aluminum and BPA free water bottles. I went from having a cupboard of cans to having none. I now buy fresh, frozen or jarred foods exclusively. Step by step I got this stuff out. Currently there are many storage containers now that are BPA free available to make this change easier. Beware of disposable water bottles being left in the sunshine and microwaving food in plastic containers. Remember heat and plastic are not a smart idea.
