My First Post
Hello, and welcome to our webpage. My family’s journey with food began about a year and half ago. I wanted my kids to eat healthy, good food. I began researching food additives and preservatives. I was horrified to discover so many “healthy” foods had known toxic chemicals in them, many marketed towards children. I believe any parent would want to be aware of what harmful ingredients are in our children’s food and how to best avoid them. Now, I am on a quest to find out what is really in our food, good and bad, and share that information with you on my blog and Facebook sites. Please join us.

When we first found out about BPAs a year ago, we started to look at all our plastic and boy did we have lots. I replaced the plastic storage containers we had with glass ones. We bought aluminum and BPA free water bottles. I went from having a cupboard of cans to having none. I now buy fresh, frozen or jarred foods exclusively. Step by step I got this stuff out. Currently there are many storage containers now that are BPA free available to make this change easier. Beware of disposable water bottles being left in the sunshine and microwaving food in plastic containers. Remember heat and plastic are not a smart idea.
